# TWAP

#### TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price)

**What it is:** Splits a large order into smaller trades over a set time period.\
**How it works:**

* Found under **Pro Orders.**
* Enter total size and duration (5 minutes – 24 hours).
* Platform auto-executes evenly across intervals.\
  **When to use:** For large trades where you want to reduce price impact.\
  **Example:** Buy $5,000 of YES at 60¢ via TWAP = $1,000 every 12 minutes over 1 hour.

**Why you need it:** If you blast a $500k market order into a thin book, you’ll blow through the price ladder. TWAP slices orders into smaller chunks, letting you enter or exit size without tanking (or mooning) the market against yourself.\
**Example:** Buy $500k of YES at \~60¢ in 100 chunks of $500 every 12 minutes over an hour.
