# Trailing Stop Loss

#### Trailing Stop Loss

**What it is:** A stop order that automatically trails the market price by a set amount.\
**How it works:**

* Found under **Pro Orders.**
* Set the trail amount (e.g., 5¢).\
  **When to use:** To capture upside while locking in gains if price reverses.\
  **Example:** Buy YES at 60¢ with a 5¢ trailing stop. If price rises to 70¢, stop moves to 65¢. If price falls back to 65¢, the position closes with a 5¢ profit per share.

**Why you need it:** Prediction markets often overshoot on hype, then mean-revert when attention fades. A trailing stop locks in profit as price moves your way, while giving you room to ride the wave higher.\
**Example:** Buy YES at 60¢ with a 5¢ trailing stop. If it rips to 70¢, your stop moves to 65¢. If price fades, you exit with profit, not regret.
